I have been working from home part of the afternoon and it may come to getting my pistol out and putting it out of my misery.

Noooo!!!!! If you can't talk to the neighbors about it call the police :) it's not the dogs fault they have left it outside to annoy you.

That is annoying. but I'd say you'll probably just have to grin and bear it. I hate it when any of my neighbors' dogs start to bark or howl, because it usually sets off every other dog in the neighborhood. And that means at least 30 minutes of unbridled racket. Come to think of it, can I borrow your gun once you've handled the problem?

My dad did that once, shot a dog in town. The swat team, cop swarm that descended upon our home when he came home from work did not really make for a enjoyable meal. He has since moved back to the farm where he can "Elmer Cheney" whatever he so chooses.

i live in a neighborhood where a lot of people have dogs, and thankfully they are thoughtful and don't allow them to bark. we have two dogs as well, and the only time they bark is a soft "woof" to come inside after they're let outdoors to do their thing. people that allow their dogs to bark continuously, or leave them chained outdoors in the elements with no companionship, shouldn't have dogs as pets in the first place. call the non emergency police number in your area and lodge a complaint. not only do you have the right to not have to hear that unnecessary noise, the dog doesn't deserve to be left unattended barking it's head off.

Hahaha, my neighbors called the cops because another neighbor's dog wouldn't stop barking all day. I suppose you could try that! Lol.

I always use the same method I use to quiet crying babies; a heavy gage plastic bag and a roll of duct-tape.
