How can i be an actress with out moving to LA?

I want to act, but i cant move to LA! wat should i do?

Get involved with some local theatre group in your town. It will get your name known.

Try getting an agent in your town and take some acting classes to perfect your skill!

Believe it or not, that's a smart move. Don't! It's a tough field. But for some people it doesn't seem to be. Always keep a day job between calls just in case. Sitting and waiting doesn't help. Know the lady who played the wife on The Jeffersons ? Well she kept working a keypunch job which, I think is something like a court reporter. If you want to act - you have to decide if it's stage or screen. Too, take this into consideration which nobody ever does; the artist, is morally responsible for his work. Hope this helps.

Audition for plays at the theaters in the city where you live. If you have not taken acting lessons, find a school, or acting teacher.

There are many fine outlets for actors who don't live in New York, Boston or LA.

That is if acting is your real interest; however, if what you really want if fame - well, that is quite a different question and one that requires a different answer.

...you dont need to move to la,. most large cities hold auditions.

you should probably just find something else to do.

get involved in various performing arts projects in your city, state. audition for plays and extras in a movie that may be filmed in your state, consider auditions for commercials also. that is a way to get your face shown on tv
