After sex my husbands sperm always fall out. Are my chances of getting pregnant still good?

We have been trying for about a month now and every time we are done having sex I will lay there for a little while than get up to do something and a lot of sperm will fall out. Besides it being annoyoing I was wondering if my chances are still good to have a baby? My period is due on the 18th so I am just waiting and hoping...

Since your body's not a sponge, it's natural for the excess fluids to come out sooner or later. But consider that a healthy ejaculation contains millions of sperm, at least a fraction of those (which still gives you thousands) have a great chance of still being in there once you stand up. I can't think of a time where I've never had a mess to wipe away at one point or another, and I'm 25 weeks now.

well the chances are less than if it stayed in there. I would mabey suggest staying down as long as possible. Mabey fall asleep. I would suggst not getting your hopes up though. It takes time to nhave babys, and if you have only been trying for a month then you have a while. It took a few years to concieve with two of my kids. good luck and hope all goes well.

I was on BC for 6 mos. Then, I stopped mid "off-cylce" when you get your period. As soon as my period ended, we started trying. I got pregnant right away.

I think you know that he produces much, much more than you will ever need to get pregnant. If you lay there for a minute, you are fine. If your goal is not to have it come out, then that is an unrealisitic goal, as most of it will never get absorbed, even if you do get pregnant.
