It's a midnight launch, but go very very early.
I've seen news reports of people lining up at Best Buy's for the launch starting LAST WEEK. There are only going to be 400,000 for the entire country at launch so competition will be fierce. They have not said when more will be coming out.
They just launched in Japan with only 100,000 units and it was chaos.
Nintendo, on the other hand, will have millions of the Wii at launch this weekend, so you should be able to get one of those easily enough. Hooray for planning in advance, right?

If it really sells for $600. then I don't even care when it goes on sale! That amount is some people's entire Christmas budget!!
