I'm not sure. On the one hand, it's going on in every single city (whether you know it or not) anyway, so legalizing it would bring it out of the back rooms and make it safer and probably cleaner as well (in places where it's legal, many prostitutes have to undergo monthly health check-ups for AIDS and other STDs).
On the other hand, I don't want a brothel down the street from me with big flashing signs :) Yeah, that's selfish, but I'm being honest!
In the long run I suppose it would be better if we legalized it, taxed it, regulated it, and kept it to particular areas (or all "outcall"). It's going to go on anyway, and perhaps this would make sure the women (and men!) who are providing the service aren't taken advantage of and make better money. But it's admittedly a difficult issue...

There are many other things that would bring more benefit to the government and society (through taxes, etc), like marijuana. Legalize it mannnnn....

if girls or guys want to sell their bodies whatever im still gonna look down on that professional and call them whores. let the government tax it, kind of like pot, almost everybody does pot, if the government would legalize it, think of how much money they would make off of the taxing...i dont do pot, but if i were running the US, i would want to make the money off of it, lu-cr-a-tive!
