There is a whole order of insects with a similar life expectancy. It is called Ephemeroptera. The name comes from the same root as ephemeral, meaning of short duration or fleeting. The Ephemeroptera are commonly called mayflys. They have a long life as larvae on the bottoms of streams and rivers. After two or three years, they come out in the adult stage, mate, lay eggs and die. They do not eat, serve as fish food while they try to lay their eggs and are gone. They may live more than one day but not by much.
I don't know of any organism that actually has a total life span of only one day.
