Hey Kesha I don't know how he father is involved but maybe a junior if not possible. Go with something cool, but it doesn't have to be totally Afrocentric. Honestly I like names like Jamal, and Omar like a previous answerer. The name I will give my son when/if I have will be Francis Trey, I am Frank Jr. Kind of a play that he is the third Frank. Hope I don't seem like I am rambling just trying to give you an idea.

I named my first son Omari, it is African for "most high God". I am 36 weeks pregnant now and they say that it is a girl but I disagree with them so I decided to go with a unisex name just in case. I chose Zion it is another name for Jerusalem. Imani and Sarai are good girl names and Timothy or Christian make good boy names. Just use your better judgment and give the child a good name so they will be able to get a good job when they get older. If you need some help picking out names or finding their meanings go to www.babyzone.com Congratulations

For a girl I like the name Zakkariyah....( Za - Car- E-a)....I have a God daughter with that name and it is super cute. Also Vantasia....that is super pretty ( my other God daughter). Felicia....another good one.
For a boy maybe a junior name if the father is involved and he has a good name. I knew a man named Avanti....I know now it is a more feminine name but it was a good name for him.
You can go with something made up too. That is what a freidn of mine did. She took parts of her grandmothers and his grandmothers names and melded them together to make a beautiful and unique name.
Good luck and congrats on the baby! Hope this helped. And if you want to email me some family names you like and I can meld them together for you to make something beautiful.

Hey Kesha. I don't know if you are looking for an African name, but my daughters middle name is Imani. It's Swahili for "faith".
