wear something with a slogan or phrase or pic on it that is funny. I have a t-shirt that has a strip of velcro on the front and it came with a bunch of letters. I can write whatever I want on the front of my shirt. You'd be surprised how many people will comment on it. I wore a batman shirt one day and got all kinds of comments about it.

I know this is going to sound werid but being a girl I love the saying " Hey if I could rearrange the alphabet I would put U and I together" I know it's corny but it's cute!! :) Hope this helps.

I'll give you this example: I recently went to visit my brother-in-law after a few years of not seeing him, and his house was packed with a party of people...so as soon as I saw him trying to slip out the back door to grab a drink, I snuck up and grabbed him by the arm and nearly dragged him out to the front door so I could talk to him and catch up! I like the sneaky but "get over here!" approach :)

Í have trouble with this myself! but just be yourself talk about what was on TV last night or something that interests the certain person you talking to! Topics TV, Video games, Food, Sport... Just walk up and be like " So did you like that episode of lost last night?" you'll be fine...

I just say hi and stick out my hand and say "My name is .....". With a big smile while looking them in the eye. The more confident you are, the less people think you're inept at conversation. Be strong and confident!

A very chirpy "Hi". Not eventful but it works for me. After 'hi' I randomly pick something and ultimately conversation follows.
