how to start a Hyper Terminal session via GSM Network?

I want to conecct to my PC at home when I'm out side armed only with my Laptop and a GSM phone. Do I need extra Devices? any new Gear?

first you need to have your Home PC connected to the internet.

connect to the internet with your laptop using your GSM phone as a GPRS modem (if it supports GPRS and if your GSM provider supports GPRS)

once both computers are conencted to the internet, you need a host software or a remote access software or a service to access your home PC (remote desktop. remotelyanywere, etc, you can also use FTP server on both or on one of the 2 Pcs to transfer files)

Hyper Terminal is used to connect to devices... Including computers.. However you will need software running that will act as a server for the specific task you will won't do. A good example would be a FTP server. I used Hyper Terminal mostly when I programmed routers. I liked it alot better then talnet for connecting to devices.
