NO for me. I live in Wisconsin and they elected a Democrat (corrupt) Gov. and sent Herb Kohl back to the Senate. We also have the shame of having Russ Feingold - ick.

I DO live in one of the most Republican Counties in the US though and that makes living in Wisconsin bearable! That and the PACKERS!

Here in Ohio, the state when almost all Democratic. The Republicans have had power in the state for 25 years or so. The problem when a political party has total control of the government is that it becomes corrupt. Or perhaps I should say the people becomes corrupt.
That seems to be the problem with ideals. As good as they might be, people are always weaken with total power. I expect with time, new Republicans will rise up in the state's ranks and assume the bright side of the party's platform.
For now, we have a new broom to sweep clean.

And you have a dem controlled state senate. Green sure did get spanked. And did anyone even run against Kohl? Green and John Gard can have fun in the un-employment line together.

Wisconsin is a great place to live. You should move Nebraska or someplace. Plenty of republicants there. Watch the Packers on satelite. Don't be to sore....at least they beat the queens yesterday.

Heck yes. Here in Boise we did go Republican all the way but we are still far from the goal of being totally bigoted and fascist but there is still hope for the remaining years.

Speaking of which, I know a lot of old people that are not judgmental, bigoted, hateful or mean. Any suggestions for flipping them over?

Alabama is a republican state and Rep. Bob Riley was reelected.
I've read where people want him to run for president in 2008 considering he'd have to run against John McCain for nomination I don't think he could make it.
It might be good practice though for 2016.

I do now. I grew up in a district in Texas that Tom DeLay gerrymandered. We elected a Democrat this time. A pro-gun, pro-labor, pro-choice Democrat. A true Texas Democrat.

Republican governor pRick perry does not represent the state well, he is an idiot and an aggie; though the two are synonymous.
