we got a media center PC for £350 from comet (without a monitor), and it had a tv tuner, but it only picked up 1 -5, as it was analogue, so we went to PCWorld and got a freeview Digital TV one and that was £50 for a PCMCIA card.
also, TV looks crap on a 15" (lcd), so we upgraded to a 19" LCD widescreen.
they were only a £150 in PCWorld (HP w19)
it may sound pricey but worth it for good quality TV!

PCTV cards are freely available, got mine at Maplins, I would go for a digital TV type (as analog signal being switched off) DVBT.
You need to check if the digital channels are available in your postcode (link on BBC site where you can check).
Cards start about £25, but if you can afford it I'd go for a dual tuner model so that you can watch one channel whilst recording another. Make sure the card you choose is compatible with your PC.

Buy a PCI (or USB2) TV tuner. I have one but ti's not all that great, but it was cheap and analogue.
Check a PC shop, they should be able to kit you out and fit it if you don't want to yourself.
Yes, it is possible.
