Your question is very interesting. I believe Bush's next and final two years will leave him as a Lame Duck President. With the Democrats having the majority in the House and Senate; their will be a sort of a stand-off between them and the White House. Bush has the power to Veto; and the Democrats don't have enough members in the Senate to override.
However; the power of the Speaker of the House to bring Impeachment hearings could provide some room for compromising. Many voters are already angry with Senator Reed and future House Speaker Pelosi; for not preparing impeachment hearings. Be that as it may; we now have the opportunity to expose the secret dealings that the public, including Elected Democrats where prevented from knowing.

He is a Lame Duck President. The Democrats have control of the House and the Senate meaning his administration is powerless and he will most likely go quietly about his business for the last two years of his term. Well, he may not go quietly, but most experts feel he will no longer have his way as he has in the past.

Nothing really, the President has Vito power and the Senate does not have the power to over ride it. Things like more money for the war will be hard to get through, but if it's for the Troupes, the Senate will approve them. The only thing left now for the President is to try and improve his image, as the last 2-years are reserved for History and poor President Bush isn't going to read to well in our History now is he!

He will have to learn how to compromise, there will also be investigations into why we really went to war in Iraq, he may very well be held accountable for any wrong doing that is found. But I do not see him going anywhere in the next two years, I see him as being very ineffectual in those two years and unable to expand the office any more then he has.

If he stubbornly vetoes legislation, he'll be impeached. If he's a good boy and plays along? Well, he can stick around for a couple of years.
Heh heh heh.
