Jade is actually two separate, distinct minerals--Jadeite and Nephrite. Both are jade.

Some possible minerals that could be confused with jade include agalmatolite, amazonite, aventurine, californite, chrysoprase/chrysophrase, hydrogrossular garnet, pectorlite, prehnite, serpentine, emerald, smithsonite, and verdite.
