I had an arm cast on for 4-5 weeks because I broke my radius bone in my wrist. Anyway, when the doctors took off my arm cast they booked me an appointment with a physiotherapist. I heard they only help movement in the arm that was affected by damage, but my arm/wrist moves alright.. is it essential to visit a physiotherapist or can I just skip it? Will it affect anything?

No, you REALLY need the therapy. You just think your wrist is ok. Especially joints, like your wrist, need therapy. You could lose a lot of motion and function if you don't. And if you don't do it now.....and then try to do it months from now, it will be too late.

Pfft. If you move it a lot, and it feels great, and you continue to move it, I wouldn't waste the time and let them suck the money from your insurance. I know good healthcare, but sometimes they really set people up to make money. (I know the system). If it feels at all stiff and your range of motion is not fantastic then go ahead and go. If you go, note what kind of physiotherapy they are giving you, can you do the exercises at home? can you apply your own moist heat? lol, see what i mean?

You need physical therapy, to get back your full ROM, ok that you feel that you can move ok, but give it a try once, see what they are going to do, the exercises they are going to give you, and then continue with it at home if you feel comfortable, but give it a try.
