I have a job offer but wonder about the ethics of it. Your opinion of the Firm?

CIA could be good work for you depending on your exact post.
Maybe you'll be involved in the (exciting but morally dubious) gung-ho culture operations which have occured against 'Terror'.
Maybe you'll spend hours every day checking out conversations and emails sent by Muslims.
Maybe you'll be a desk officer waiting for the next event to happen.
Maybe you'll be transferred to Mossad 'control' and work for them without even knowing about it (apparently happens a lot- an Israeli boast I read.)
Maybe you'll create false identities for other agents, or handle communications.
If you love your country the ethics shouldn't be a problem- and I say that as a British guy critical of the CIA. As long as you know what your job may entail in terms of duties then go for it.

Sure. Between the "patriot act" and the torture bill of 2006, think what fun you could have. Particularly if you like the idea of inflicting pain on ole personal enemies.
For the last 30 years the CIA has been under the thumb of one man, and has done an awful lot of his dirty work for him. I'll give it a pass.
A "friend" in the CIA tried very hard to recruit me many years ago, and the work he offered sounded interesting, but good sense prevailed and I stayed with what I was doing. Sure could have used the money that was offered.

Someone HAS to do the dirty jobs...if you have an offer...and you think you can put ethics aside...then GO FOR IT! However, since you asked the question in the first place, the position may not be right for you.

Um, I see what you mean. Well you may well have to kill, how do you feel about that? If you can justify it as protecting the public then go for it and if not then get something else.
