You're just a child, aren't you?
Your mom probably would be very hurt if you did that.
How would you feel if she took something you loved?
Would you love her more? I do think so.
Think about your own selfishness.

Your Mom is nurturing a plant more than you feel she nurtures you. It is easy to nurture a plant because they don't talk back!
Killing your Mom's plant is not the answer. Many things may have caused your pent up anger but you must learn to express your feelings in a more positive way & not a destructive way---as in killing your Mom's plant.
If you can't talk with your Mom about how you are feeling talk with a counselor or a trusted family member.
Perhaps you could take more of an interest in your Mom's hobby with plants and spend time with her when she is caring for her plant and use that as an opportunity to talk.
Give your Mom a chance to nurture you!

Well, if you have any pets around, you can simply tell her the truth, which is that poinssetias are poisonous to animals.
But seriously, if you're THIS PISSED, you need to talk to someone. Killing that plant won't make your mom like you, nor will it stop her from getting another plant. Talk to an adult you can trust: school counselor, an aunt, a grandparent, a friend's mom, or someone. If you need to, call a crisis hotline; those people are GOOD, and they'll listen to you. Eventually, you will need to tell your mom what you're feeling. There are better ways to get attention than destroying stuff.

This is really sad.
The fact that it appears that the only real happiness left in your mom's life, is what beauty that plant gives to your mom.
If you are thinking thoughts like this now, it's obvious that you will have no problem advancing your intentions on other people in a more cruel way.
Again today, the fact that others would even offer you solutions to bring sadness to another, confirms how insensitive and lacking compassion for another's well being people really are.
Before you really "SCREW-UP" your life, please seek help.

lol kandis. There is a story somewhere in this situation. Let the poor thing be and confront your mom about your pent up emotions. I hate them too, but they are one of Gods creations.

Wow! Instead of killing the plant, have you ever considered vetting your feelings with her? Sounds like you have some misplaced anger.

Plants that I grow tired of, I set outside in cold weather. I don't kill them at all, nature does.

Shame on you. I hate the things too. Wouldnt have one in my house. However, it is your mom's and she seems to like it. Maybe you should just leave it alone. But...nail polish remover would do it in. The smell dissipates into the dirt.
