I am a firm believer that mother nature designed cows milk for baby cows not baby people.

Gradually add milk to his/her formula. Start by doing like 1 oz milk and 7 oz formula (for an eight ounce bottle). Then move on up 2 oz milk and 6 oz formula. then 3 and 5. etc. You can increase the milk at whatever pace you want. This gives your childs tummy time to adjust and also for the child to get used to the taste. Whole milk can sometimes cause constipation. I was told to add a teaspoon of Caro syrup to each bottle if this occured. It worked with my boys. You can warm milk a little if your child is used to warm or room temp formula. Good Luck.

I mixed in 2 oz cow milk to 6 oz of formula, then after a few days, I did 50/50, then 6oz cow milk to 2 oz of formula, then it was 100% milk. We had no problems that way.

12 months is an EXCELLENT time to wean your baby off the bottle (if you have not already done so) before LONG TERM memory makes it tough to do so. Give cows milk in the cup, formula in the bottle. Soon they will be bottle free and on regular milk. Besure to use whole milk as the childs brain is still developing and they need the extra fat to make brain cells!
(And we all thought being called a "fat head" was negative... LOL)

If you don't do it cold turkey, you could start by adding a couple of oz. of regular milk with is formula and increase the amount ever day or two. that might make it easier.
