Yes! I won our school's spelling bee in 8th grade. I finished top five at regionals and top 10 at the State Bee.

The big one which was for all the 6th graders i did not win but evveryone expected me to win. I was (and still am) known as the smartest kid in school and when i spelled a word wrong everyone gasped and that's what i hated, that everyone EXPECTED me to win. It was because of all the mumbling and gasps that i began to cry but i controlled myself. It was HORRIBLE. I messed up on the word dissapearance. i spelled it dissaperence. i wished i had dissapeared somewhere else at that time!
However, all the small spelling bees we have had in class i have all won.

yes, I won my sixth grade spelling bee. However, I cannot remember the word I won on.

I won in our class, and represented our school with the other class winners, against other schools in town, and made it through 5 words. I was in 5th grade and was having a great time, and I froze when they said the winner would represent our town in the states. When I heard that, my brain took a nap, and lost on word 6. I was a really shy kid, and it still surprises me I got that far.

I was supposed to win, but the Nun giving out the words mumbled the word on purpose, so I had to say , What? And doing that was against the rules. I lost, and her "Favorite" won. I still hate that Darth Vader B**ch !

not yet cuz lets just say im in 4th grade..but im the best speller in the grade but its just that we dont have annny contests......im practicing 4 the next years ones(the schools spelling bee)

No... I got about 3 rounds into one... I couldn't spell argument! I thought it was agruement... haha... that's why I prefer writing words rather than spelling them out loud...

Yeah but then i lost the county spelling b because she said category and when i said it back i said categories and she said yup and s i spelled it and she was like it is category not categories.
