I would probably say something, but I hate confrontation and/or awkward situations, so I'd probably sort of bring it up like this:

I'd act all shocked and annoyed and say "I CANNOT believe this--I just heard people gossiping about how orange you go when you tan and they were laughing about it!"

That way, you clearly position yourself on her side (I'm your friend and I tell you when people are making fun of you) and also don't come right out and tell her you think it to, but you still get the point across that people are saying it.

If she makes it awkward by asking you if you think it's true, you could say "I've never really bothered to think about it---then look at her as if noticing it for the first time and say "hmmm, well, actually, maybe a little orange, but still--they had no business gossiping about it behind your back..."

Yes, if she's a really a friend. If her orangeness makes her look funny, you should tell her. But I wouldn't do it because "people" think so. If YOU think it does, then try telling her to maybe ease up on the amount of taning or to use a higher sun block (or whatever, I'm black so I don't know from tanning).

The point is, if she's your friend and it makes her look bad, then tell her. She should also know that people are talk about her behind her back because if these "people" are pretending to be her friend, then that's not good.

Good luck.

Tell her she shouldn't tan. It is damaging her body. Ask her if she thinks she looks orange? Then tell her that other people are saying that she looks orange. Make sure to say it in a nice way.

Yeah you should tell her that you've heard people talking behind her back that she looks orange. Tell her your not going to get into who is saying it but that you just thought she should know to stop doing whatever it is she's is doing.

Tell her the tan isn't her best look. Tell her she should go for a Nicole Kidman look, rather than the Oompa Loompa look. Winter is coming, so tans will look weird anywhere put Florida.

Please tell her, because when I see someone like that all I do is laugh and think to myself that they would rather be orange than whatever their natural color is!
