What's your biggest regret in life? Would you go back and change things if you could or would you leave it be and learn from your mistake?

Anybody who says they don't have any regrets is fibbing. You may not have massive ones that keep you awake at night but everybody has at least one thing they wish they hadn't done no matter how serious or trivial.

I regret that I had too trusting of a soul and too soft of a heart when I decided to take 41,000 dollars that fell into my lap (a lucky employee buyout stock break!) and used it to help coworkers and friends with their debts and bad luck. I even helped one lady with a down payment on a new house.
Nobody paid one damned dime back to me, and now that we've all been laid off.... I'm stuck paying the thousands of dollars in penalties back to the IRS all on my own.
I regret the day I decided to touch that money instead of pretending it wasn't there and just let it grow for my retirement.
GGGRRRRRRRR!!!! NEVER again!!

I greatly regret some of the decisions I have made in my life. I have lived a life of hard knocks. Every lesson I have learned I have learned the hard way. However I wouldn't change anything. I wouldn't change anything because I like the person I have become, and that was a procress of bad decisions, good decisions and hard work. With or without regrets.

You have to look at the larger picture. When you get to a stepping stone in life, and say "okay I can go forward or I can stand here regretting my last move." That is a choice we all make.

I think we all have regrets..You have not been LIVING life if you don't have any regrets..But I choose to think my mistakes are what have made me in to the person I am today...Who knows who I would be if not for the experiences I have had..Did I enjoy them all..Heck no but I did learn many of life's lessons by taking a risk and making a mistake..And I really, truly like who I have become..

Yeah I wish I had gone travelling round the world when I was young instead of working and then getting used to having money. It doesn't bother me that much as now I just do one holiday a year and have a nice house /car/job etc...

my biggest regret is daydreaming through the whole of secondry school hence f*ucking up my GCSE's, hence not making the sixth form, hence not making university, hence hanging out with wasters, hence taking drugs, hence becoming mentally ill as a direct result of taking drugs hence ending up with a user name like semi nutjob. How's that for regrets? lol

True, but I would NOT want this played at my funeral as it was at the funeral of an alcoholic who could unfortunately not stay sober. She died prematurely due to doing it "her way" and it was a waste.
