you must have some sort of knowledge about biblical prophecy as Armageddon is reference to the final battle between Jesus in his second coming and the evil forces of the Antichrist.
According to the bible and the book of Revelation, there will be many signs of the end times, the question is whether or not we will be perceptive enough to notice these signs.
popular christian belief through the prophesies of Daniel say the world will catapult itself into a one way course to destruction in a seven year period. Initially biblical prophecy tells us that the generation that saw Israel rejoin as a nation will also see the second coming of Christ. scary since Israel became a nation in 1967, the generation of baby boomers are into if not close to retirement. but what do we use as the measure of a generation, the bible is not that specific, as to the biblical measure of a generation could be anywhere from 40 to 120 years.
watch CNN because the stress for peace in the middle east is one of the earliest signs the bible gives us for the end times. currently an Islamic mosque sits on top of what was believed to be the old site of the Jewish temple. some archaeologists today speculate that the original site for the temple was actually some 300 yards away from the mosque. this is important because one of the first and most decisive signs of the end granted in the bible is the reconstruction of the Jewish temple.

Well, perhaps not Armegeddon, but a prelude battle mentioned in Ezekiel 38. This is a battle between Israel, Syria, Iran, Egypt, African muslim nations and RUSSIA.

This battle will be God's way of "showing up" on the world scene again, after he destroys all of Israel's enemies in typical Godlike fashion (fire, brimstone, sulphur, etc.).

Anyway, look at the military deployments in the middle east right now, especially the fact that we have 5 Naval strike groups facing Iran TODAY. Israel is mulling a pre-emptive strike against Iran. Hezbollah, Hamas and Syria are attempting to open up another front against Israel, with Russia leading the deception.

It seems as though the persons that are in a position to care for others, are the same that rejoice in the coming of the end time, and have no pity for the unsaved, and the people that believe other than they. Just like christmas, they can't agree on it's original date, but celebrate it's coming anyway. They will be disappointed if nobody is condemned.

If America backs off from the support of Israel, which could be a possibility with a change in leadership, the forces within the middle east, energized by Islam, could close in quickly, precipitating the final prophetic scenario. It's definitely a time to be spiritually ready.

Greetings!
It is wrong to relate the end of life, planet etc or whatever Armageddon is in the form of its religious text.

Instead if you ask will the world end? Yes.
Right before our very eyes we watch the depletion of our natural resources. We tolerate dumping of chemicals, toxins and send air born those particles which poison our planet.

Yet we do nothing.
Thus the question too, might be sooner....or later.

Good Luck

I am a rational, intelligent person. There have been signs in all generations. However, with all that is going on the the Middle East it even has me wondering about this. Seriously, I am a bit worried.
