I know when the expression is used. I want to have an idea about the social-linguistic origins of the expression.

It means stay out of my life. Can't remember the origin, probably the 80's.

Its just a way of making someone else feel bad about themselves - suggesting that they don't "have a life". Its an expression that really annoys me because people just bandy itaround when they disagree with someone's views or opinions.

It just sounds like the sort of thing that originated in American High Schools.

It means that people whom are so down about everything, need to lighten up a little, LIVE !
