I did after 5 years of marriage because I'd had long hair since grade school...I wanted to be a hot mama. And why'd I gain weight...well I've had two kids and don't feel like working out when I am exhausted. My kids are getting older now though, my daughter is now 19 months, so I'm getting back into the swing of things.
Maybe you should try getting married and having some kids, then ask another question with a bit more respect.

When women do a drastic new hairstyle it is normally because they are not happy with their life and have low self esteem and they believe cutting and coloring their hair will change that. It is one thing they can control.
Gaining weight is normally because the man they married has different eating habits and they fall into that same eating pattern which is sometimes worse then the one previously. If you notice, men gain weight after marriage also if they change eating patterns.

Not all women do and for those that do. It's called mother-hood.

When you have kids you tend to neglect your self. You don't have as much time to do your hair as you once did. So cuting it off short gives you less of a headache to deal with. And more time for the kids.

They get comfortable because they have snagged there man. So they don't go all out like they use too. Because he is suppost to love them not matter what.

But I think in general those women who do gain weight and cut there hair off is because of having kids. Kids are a 24/7 job. We start thinking about them and there needs and less about our own.

Things we once had time to do for our selves revolves around them. And they consume all the time.

I cut my hair but it had nothing to do with being married. I by no means gained any weight. I think it has to do with being happy and comfortable with your life.

Usually we grow our hair for the wedding so we can have it fancy-so we don't necessarily want to keep it that way. And the gaining wieght, that is not true at all. I have lost wieght since being married-I have joined an exercise class.

Not all women do. But if so, They cut their hair because they don't have time for styling long hair anymore . They are to busy picking up your socks, taking care of your kids and cleaning up after you. Also we tend to pick up on some of your bad eating habits when we live with you. Don't blame it on the women.

Because their husbands would have to give away 50% of their assets if they leave. It is the classic bait and switch. BJs are now a thing of the past as well.

Pre-nup for all men!

From the people I know hair cuts are more associated with having children. It gives them less to tug on and makes the moms head hurt less.
