You're correct for the most part. In addtion, he has taken the right stance on some issues such as not being for gay marriage, ect.
Now the liberals are really dumb, and now these democrats are setting our country on the way to a bad economy with that stupid, moronic minimum wage increase, when the minimum wage should be abolished, not increased.
This is just the beginning of a reign of tyranny, and I predict that we're going to be destroyed, sadly.
The terrorists are now inspired, and if we get attacked, the Democrats won't have a clue on how to respond. It's looking really bad.

what part of the economy is stable. The corporate economy is through the roof, while the average American struggles. The DOW means nothing to the average American. Twenty percent of the population owns 80% of all the stock in America. That is a lot of Americans that the DOW doesn't really affect.
In addition, college tuition has doubled.
health insurance premiums have doubled.
5 million more families joined the ranks of poverty
5 records were set for highest deficits in our history
the national debt has nearly doubled
home foreclosures have set several records
"real income" has dropped in each of the last 5 years
Not only that, the jobless rate is NOT at their lowest rates ever. They are at their lowest since 2001 which was still during the Bush years.
Interest rates are NOT at all time lows..
How has he handled Iraq superbly. First of all he lied to get there. Doesn't it bother you that our President did that to us???? It bothers me. Secondly, what is happening in Iraq that is good. Corporations that are responsible for rebuilding Iraq are pulling out. Guess that is like cut and run, only take the money and run.
there are plenty reasons why people rally against him. Do the research and you will see.

The economy itself is mostly credited to interest rates. After 9/11 and the dot com bust, interest rates were lowered to nearly zero. Because of this, homes were refinanced, businesses expanded, etc. You say Bush helped the economy, I say interest rates helped the economy and that is regulated by the Fed. His tax cuts, profiting mostly the rich and with Dick Cheney receiving a 1.9 million tax refund.
Jobless rates or unemployement is at very nice level, no doubt. At 4.2%, we should all be happy, however, it was 4.0% at the end of Clinton's presidency.
http://stats.bls.gov/
Interest rates were at all time lows. The fed funds rate is at 5.25%, after 17 consecutive rate hikes to ease inflation. It is much higher than the record low.
You say Iraq has gone well, I say why did Iraq even happen? The handling of Iraq is for another day, however most agree, it has not been handled well.
With 6 years full of corruption, tax cuts (on estate taxes, capital gains, etc), unsuccessful Iraq, increased debt to make up for tax cuts, the president's actions are not sustainable.
Proof of this can be found in the financial markets "betting" on Dems taking more power. and a world satisfaction at a new high.

It sounds like you don't think 3000 people being dead is a lot. 2983 people died on 9/11. The number seems a little higher now, doesn't it? The most terrible day in American history because of the loss of life, and now we are in a war where just as many people have died. People have a problem with the war because it should not be happening. Iraq and the terrorist attacks were not connected. And Bush used the terrorist attacks as a reason for going there in the first place, which makes him look pretty shady. We also don't want the rest of the world hating us. That could lead to problems bigger than you can imagine!
Furthermore, people don't like the fact that he is trying to strip us of our constitutional rights in the name of war. Read a few Supreme Court cases, it might make you understand the gravity of what he is trying to do. People don't like that he is trying to bring religion into politics. I am a Christian, but I'm not self-righteous enough to expect everyone to believe what I believe.
As far as the economy goes, it is not so great. Interest rates and unemployment may be down, but many more people can't afford to live on their salaries because wages are not keeping up with inflation.
Finally, Bush is arrogant and condescending. When watching the presidential debates, I thought he sounded like a jerk!

Are you the retired US Marine, or just retarded? If you are actually a marine, thanks for your service to our country. Now you should seek help from the VA, your grasp of reality is not good. You have "misunderestimated" some of your "facts" as our president is want to do. Jobless rates and interest rates are not at all time lows. Your comment about less than 3000 dead sure doesn't sound like a marine to me. It sounds real non-caring. Marines are noted for caring about their fellow marines. "Surperbly" handling Iraq is why Rumsfeld is now gone. Our economy is stable only because foreign countries are propping us up, namely China. The only true thing you said is the market is at an all time high. Your post is ninety-five percent bullcrap. Nice try.

With all do respect, you are delusional as to what George Bush has done to this country. He is solely responsible for the deaths of 3000 Americans, 655,000 Iraqi, many more wounded in a war based on his lies. Jobless rates are not at all time lows the way that the count the jobless is different and they do no longer count anybody that is not receiving benefits. He and the repuglican congress has divided the country worse then any that I have seen in my 60 years on earth. That's 9 different presidents. He has run the national debt to extreme levels, highest in history. I just do not think that he is doing a very good job. Most Americans agree with me on this. His support has reached all time lows for a setting president. Somewhere around 30%

Sure, the economy is stable now, but what about in ten years when we have to pay back the billions of dollars that we're borrowing from other countries like China? We are already a few trillion dollars in debt, so just because the economy is stable now, doesn't mean he's not setting us up for failure in the future.
Also, I do not not agree with Bush's stance on abortion or gay marriage because I am for both of those.
Also, we should have never gone to Iraq. I just don't understand the point of being there. THERE WERE NEVER WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND BUSH KNEW IT!!! That's a big issue I have with him.
Well, I guess he finally did do something right--Rummy's gone!

The markets being high is not good for anyone except those owning stocks and having large amounts of money in IRA's (which leaves out 80% of the population), jobless rates are NOT at their lowest rates ever and interest rates are significantly HIGHER than they were three years ago. The Iraq situation is an EXCELLENT answer because as shocking as this may be to you, the majority of the population of this country believes we never should have gone to war there in the FIRST place. Bush has no one to blame but himself for being in the top 5 most unpopular presidents in this nation's history.
As for his "handling" of Iraq, I pray we have better Marines than you.

I KNOW!! all this quibbling about 3000 soldiers being dead, it's so petty. and how many crippled, maimed and psychologically destroyed other vets could be coming back from Iraq? 15 or 20,000 tops? These protesters are whining over tablescraps. and anyway, we must be a pretty rich country if we can afford to throw away a trillion dollars a year on some country most people can't find on a map. so why don't they just shut up?

this is from a retired US Army. The economy may be fine today but we still have to pay for his Iraq folly tomorrow. But then he will be out of office and the republicans can place the blame on someone else. Bush lied to the American congress and people to get into the war to prove his d... was bigger than his dad and improve the wealth of the oil barons. And as a former Marine your altitude about under 3000 dead is disrespectful, if you really are a Marine. Any body who serves can tell you one death is important, especially when it was for a lie.

The media has contaminated the news to turn people against Bush. One recent answer on this section indicated a lack of knowledge of Honor. When I see people asking what Honor is I wonder how this country will continue. Used to be Honor was right at the top of a person's goals. Has our society degraded so badly that people do not understand what honor is?? Bush has shown honorable devotion to His beliefs. I admit the conduct of the Iraq thing has been very inept. The generals must bear the responsibility for that not Bush alone. He acts on recommendations of subordinates. That is why they have shoulders full of stars. The secretary of defense also takes advise from the generals and I think they need a swift kick in the butt to get on the ball. The country is better off because of Bush and needs to understand it.
