Twenty-three million viewers witnessed the fireworks Thursday night on "Grey's Anatomy" as McDreamy and Addison's divorce became final.
But it seems the medical show's on-screen drama is no comparison to the real-life fireworks that may have led co-star T.R. Knight to tell People magazine he's gay.
"T.R. Knight said that there were questions about his sexuality," People magazine's Jess Cagle dished. "He was not specific at all about what those questions were."
Knight, who plays the unassuming, lovable nice guy, George O'Malley, was reportedly the target of a sexual slur made by co-star Isaiah Washington.
Washington denies making the slur, which allegedly happened during a behind-the-scenes scuffle with McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey.
As for Knight, he told People, "I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me," adding he decided to come out in order to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there.
On Friday, "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's" Jay Rodriguez told "Extra" he's proud of T.R.
"I was kind of super excited," Rodriguez admitted. "I think the big fear in Hollywood is if you're an actor you can't act because you're gay; you can't play a straight role. And he just proved that theory wrong."
