what you do is, move all your music, be it ripped from your own Cd's in windows media player, or downloaded from say, limewire.. into your ''my music'' file.
then open up itunes and choose: file, 'add file to library'..
then select your music file, all your music will go into your iPod.. windows media files (from your Cd's) will be converted before going on to iPod, and make sure you virus scan anything you download before putting on iPod.. g/luck x

You can use any music downloader you wish. Even if it is illigeal. After you download it you have to add it to your iTunes library in order to download it to your iPod. If you use limewire just click on explore then the song then it will be automatically downloaded into your iTunes library.

How you get the songs onto your computer is your choice, but once you have them, go to iTunes then go to File > Add File to Library > Then pick the song(s) you wish to put onto your iPod.
