If one of our airliners had a leak in the lavatory, we'd often find chunks of blue ice hanging from vents, etc. in the wintertime.

The Italian shaved ice tastes great. It began as a dessert in Roman times with the Emperor Nero.
Snow cones are fun and I loved them as a kid. They became popular at the earliest 'World's Fairs" in the later 19th century. Blue is the favorite color for small children because they like the way it turns their tounges a bright color; red comes in second in popularity among little ones, but first among adults.

yes...
it's either ice that before frozen, had food color added to it, OR, is flavored like FlaVorIce in many different flavors and colors.
