From Hell isn't bad. Of course, there is always Bram Stoker's Dracula. Van Helsing might also be to your liking. Perhaps Pirates of the Caribbean? If you want something fairly modern, but still dark, I definitely suggest Dark City.

i trust the movie you're asking about is termed Mysterious Island, from the Jules Verne e book of an similar call. Verne wrote the e book in 1874 so i don't believe of it replaced into in Victorian cases. Captain Nemo exhibits up in this movie.
