I'm european and I never had anything to do with the KKK, or anything else. Why are they so mean sometimes, and they have to prove themselves. Why can't we just all get along?

There is an attitude in this country, one that is encouraged by the government, of being "owed". The fact that in Africa slavery is a thousands of years old fact, doesn't mean diddly. The fact that it happened here hundreds of years ago, now means that all african americans are "owed" some sort of recompense. American Indians are much the same, because they fought endlessly among themselves before the european came to this continent, means nothing. The fact that the europeans came and wiped them out through being better warriors now means that hundreds of years later, we "owe" them recompense. Being somewhat intelligent, and not wishing to have to work hard to be prosperous, these people encourage this kind of thinking, and the elected officials that WE put in office pony up, with the taxes we pay. So, think about it, if you felt you were owed something, and weren't getting your "fair share", wouldn't you tend to act in a similar fashion? It is a cultural perpetuation in this country that all of us, black, white, indian, asian, or whatever should be totally ashamed of supporting.

How come when a white person makes a racial slur, african americans get very offended, but then, african americans go and call white people crackers, or wonderbread constantly. When I was at a football game against a school with mostly blacks, they were calling our team wonderbread and stuff like that. If it was the other way around, it'd be considered racism and would be in the newspaper the next day. Now, I'm not saying all blacks are like this, just some. I'm not a stereotypical person.

I believe that its is not all negativity it is frustration. A lot of whites are very ignorant to African American culture. African Americans have somewhat learned to adapt to White America. Also, what you see as negative may just be a strong personality. If they are being disreptectful that is another issue. Disrespect is not a race issue.

Dude, you can't just assume all Americans are racist. That is crap. It is like us Americans assuming you're all liberal Euro-Trash.
Many blacks have had it drilled into their heads that they are/have been oppressed, abused, used, and treated like crap and that it will never change. Many don't take the time to look around the the world and realize that they have just as much opportunity (especially in America!!) as anyone else, they simply have to reach out and actually take that opportunity.
I've never met a black person who was "mean" and had to "prove themselves" just as I've never treated a black person with the disrespect that everyone seems to think white-Christian-Americans dole out on a regular basis.

some human beings have issues w/ racism, no matter how joyful and social we would like to be w/ one another as one unit, the truth is racism and separateness still exist. Sure everyone should be able to express themselves as individuals this is America; but it happens in all cultures, in politics, and in life generally. that is just the way it is. until we learn to love one another as a human race, that is the way it will remain

I've met my fair share of rude people of all races. Certain races go about being rude in different ways, but none the less.... every race has rude people.
