Any leaf that is impregnated with "Christmas" smell oil. Cinnamon is a favorite, pine and orange are others. Potpourri is the official name of the leafy stuff. But usually the seller uses any old saw wood shavings, colors them, adds pine cones and other attractive natural stuff, and then adds the smelly oil.

You can get the same effect by burning insense, candles with smell, or even boiling water with cinnamon sticks in it!
