I'm spanish and Italian, but I have blonde hair and blue and green eyes. Why does everyone think that if someone is from a country like italy they have to have dark hair, brown eyes, and bushy eyebrows. Or that an oriental person is from japan, when they are from vietnam. People suck at guessing and I think they should keep their opinions to themselves. someone said my son looked filipino, when he is native american. How do you mix someone up like that? People just don't think, and they don't know how much it hurts someone when they just guess around.

Been there. I'm puertorican with blond hair and green eyes, and the other day some one said that they couldn't believe that I was because they thought puertoricans were dark skinned. When that happens, you just have to educate their ignorance and be patient. You can't expect everybody to know how everybody in the world is supposed to look like.

i know how you feel. people tell me that i look puerto rican but im 1/4 native american. and i have a couple friends from mexico and they have been asked if they're philipino also. it is wrong to just guess what someone is. If they really wanted to know I guess they could just simply ask, instead of making assumptions. I think It's just flat out rude to make assumptions. In reality everyone is different... they all have different heritages.
