1) Walking will not put you into premature labour, but do take it easier, too much stress on your body is bad and cause a cascade of things to happen that could ultimately end up with premature labour. You know your body, you will know when to stop if you only listen to yourself.
2) Your doctor is a jackass. I am 5'2" and I ended my pregnancy 5 lbs less than I started, at 41weeks and gave birth to an 8lbs 2oz baby boy. Please do not let them talk you into anything stupid, like an induction. Please do not believe that you will grow a baby too big for you to deliver.

I would still go for it, but rest more. Instead of heading right into another store, stop at the snack shop and have a water and pretzel and use the benches they put through the stores. I think it is still plenty possible, just with some twiks to the routine. I was pregnant with my daughter....about 32 weeks as you are and I walked the entire Milwaukee Zoo (and it was 80 degrees out) I just took breaks and kept my energy up. Oh and don't let people push you around....if they want to go go go, let them and you rest. Good Luck!

It would be in your best interest to take it slow and drink a lot of water. Dont expect your black friday shopping event to be the same as every year.
If you listen to your body and rest when it says to rest, and drink a lot of fluids you will probably be fine.
Stress induces early labor, walking is healthy. But being that your baby has dropped it means he's up against your cervix encouraging it to dialate and thin, walking for extended periods of time can cause that to happen more quickly.
I'd pick out the stores you absolutely must go to, hit them early on, and then go back home and lay down.

I think u should go on with your plans don't worry about it. Your child will come on its time not the doctors.I have 4 children and really the walking only make u dilate faster when u are having contractions if haven't dilated or had any contractions u r good 2 go.Must women deliver between 36 or 37 weeks.

Walking can only start labor if your body is "ripe" unless the doctor thought is was a problem, I am a big walker when I am pregnant and 2 out of my three were late, I am small build to.

I think if your doctor really thought it was risky they would have told you not to. I say go for it, just pace yourself. Make sure you drink plenty of water, take potty breaks often and if you are feeling tired, sit down and take a break. You'll know if it gets to be too much. If you start having abnormal back pain or cramping I would pack up and head home. There's no harm in trying.

You don't want to deliver at 32 weeks though!Keep walking down to a minimum and not a fast pace.It will not gurantee to put you into labor-but if your baby is already dropped and ready to go take it easy!

When the Apple is Ripe it will Fall From the Tree - walk as much as you want, if your doctor has NOT induced you, you have nothing to be concerned about. Good Luck, and I'll hope for a quick and painless delivery...
