I would have to say the best gift for an eighth grader would have to be an ipod, or just hard cold cash. Most kids love to get cash.

although the idea is nice, i dont really think 8th grade boys like to receive things from girls (as i am actualy an eighth grade boy). but if there is something you have in mind he might really like, go for it.
