Yeah, I agree you could be "trying to hard" but I personally think that you guys just need to relax and start making love at least daily, even 2 times daily would work. I would say if that doesn't work within 6 months, you both may want to be checked to see if there is an issue with one of your reproductive systems.

Good luck!

I strongly suggest making an appointment with your OBGYN. Take your bbt charts with you. Some problems can be diagnosed from those charts. If you haven't already, have your OB give you an exam and run some blood tests to rule out certain problems, such as a hormone imbalance. Also, have your OB give your husband a lab slip or referral to get his sperm analyzed. Start taking prenatal vitamins. They won't help you conceive, but folic acid is so important in early prenatal development - especially the 2 weeks before you even find out your pregnant. Two years is too long to wait. Make sure there are no medical issues interfering before going any further. I know from experience that the "just stop trying and it will happen" approach won't work for me. I just cringe every time I hear someone suggest that. Had I not gone to my OB right away, I might have never conceived. I had 3 medical issues that kept me from conceiving and carrying a baby - endometriosis, anovulatory cycles, and a luteal phase defect. Although my OB discovered all 3 and corrected them to help me conceive and deliver a full term healthy baby girl, I am back to square one ttc again. I am in my 5th month ttc. I have been ovulating and everything seems fine, but I haven't conceived yet. My OB wants me to see a fertility specialist to make sure there isn't something he's missed.

Best of luck to you.

After two years I would say it's high time to get some basic tests done and make sure there aren't any obvious problems. If you have done BBT charting then you should know if you ovulate regularly or not. Bring the charts with you to your doctor's appointment, your OB/GYN should be able to help you with the basic tests. They should order some blood tests to check your hormone levels (for example to see if your progesterone is high enough to support a pregnancy -- if it's low you may have gotten pregnant but just not been able to keep it). They should also order a semen analysis for your husband (you could have male factor infertility) and maybe an HSG for you (to check if your tubes are clear so the egg can meet the sperm).

Okay here's my story and I hope it will help. Me and dh were pregnant with twins and unfortunately lost them to preterm labor. After that, it seemed like it was NEVER happening. We never used protectiona nd had sex like rabbits but month after month were negative.
I went to doctor after doctor and they all said everything was fine. We never went to fertility doctors. We figured that would be the next step. At my first appointment with a new GYN, she prescribed clomid. She said it doesn't work in all people but if it's going to work, it will happen within the months of usage.
She gave me instructions on charting, opk's and temping which we really hadn't tried at all. Me and dh ended up moving to another state and didn't get a chance to try all these things and the clomid until about 4 months later.
In March of 2006, I finally got my period and started the doctors directions. I temped, charted and used the opk. On April 10th we got our first positive on a home pregnancy time. It took 3 VERY LONG YEARS! I owe it all to the clomid and proper instructions because before that, all we were doing was having sex.
So I would suggest you speak to your doctor about clomid and try it for 3 months. I know two years seems like a long time and you are pretty much fed up with everyone's opinions and comments.
Believe you me, if one more family member or friend got pregnant while I was trying, I would have almost died! But the truth is, there may be absolutely nothing wrong with you guys, you may just need that extra help.

Good Luck

Okay, here's what I did... First, I found this product on the internet www.preseed.com When I went to purchase it at my local pharmacy, the lady behind the counter told me that I would get pregnant immediately with it (and I did). Also, we went with the "every other day" method. Starting the day my period ended, we did the deed every other day. After a while, that stinks, but it worked the first month!

Other than that, if you haven't been using protection and you haven't gotten pg in 2 years, you might want to go to your Dr. to make sure nothing is wrong with you (or your hubby). It's worth just bringing up and seeing what comes of it.

Good luck! and have FUN trying.

Fertility drugs. They are safe, and if you have a good insurance plan, they might even cover some of the costs. My best friend tried naturally for 3 years,no results. Got on fertility drugs and was pregnant in 3 months!! Good Luck to you! Also, it took me 10 months to get pregnant naturally....so I felt the same.....Every woman is different, so don't get discouraged.

Don't be discouraged there may be other factors which may be causing you not to get pregnant. Firstly I would make an appointment with your OB GYN to do a complete physical. He/She may be able to detect if you have e.g. blocked ovaries, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts. All of the latter can be treated with the help of your doctor. Secondly, relax and stop worrying as the stress is not conducive to assisting the process of conception.

If your body is to acidic, the sperm will not last long, and that can make it near impossible to conceive. There are home remedies for this, some in books out there now. Browse thru them. I can't remember for sure but I think baking soda douche prior to intercourse is one way to neutrilize the acid temporarily. Good luck

Try accupuncture! My mainstream OB said it was worth trying after my husband and I had been trying to conceive for 2 years. We were pregnant within 2 months! I had also just had a procedure (HSG) done to check for possible blockage on my fallopian tubes. They were both clear, but sometimes if their was a minor block, the HSG might open it up. Good luck to you!
