This did happen to my step mom, I dont think its all that common though, She is the only one I have heard about this from, I havent even read about this in baby books that I have.
When you are pregnant everything in the world comes into your head to worry about! Believe me theres more worries to come, "whats that pain, is this normal, what was that feeling? "
Just relax and enjoy your little miracle to be- Im pregnant with my 2nd now and I feel more relaxed because i dont fear the unknown...(still have little worries though) Its normal!
GOOD LUCK HONEY!

If you had 6 positive tests and your doc confirmed it then i'd say its probably a very real pregnancy and not a phantom one!
I think its natural - once you find your pregnant - to start worrying immediately about things that could be wrong/go wrong etc. When i first discovered i was pregnant i was worried about ectopic pregnancy (for no good reason - i just was!) then i worried about having a miscarriage, then a missed miscarriage (when i had my ultrasound my first words were "Oh yay there is a baby in there"... technican must have thought i was crazy!)
Word of advice... DON'T READ ALL THE THINGS THAT COULD GO WRONG - you will drive yourself crazy! I did that because i constantly worried something would happen to take this baby away from me and i stressed constantly which IS NOT good for me or baby. So i learnt to stop reading all the negative stuff one finds on the internet and concentrated on positive things instead..
I'm now 17wks 6 days pregnant - i still worry but make a conscious effort these days to try not to worry about all the "could happens".
Congrats and best of luck! :)

False positives are extremely rare. In fact, its usually human error. If your doctor says your pregnant, proceed as he/she has specified. If alot of knowledge isn't a bad thing to your worries, then I suggest the "What to expect, when your expecting" book. But if too much information makes your worry more then I'd say just go with the flow.

It would'nt show 6 positive pregnancy tests. Don't worry, relax. It sounds as if you really wanted this pregnancy and chances are that everything will turn out beautifully. Worrying won't solve anything. Congratulations.

The positive tests all negate the phantomness of the pregnancy - people who experience "phantom" pregnancies don't give positive test results.

Then you are pregnant. Are you OK?! You need to see a doctor. So chill out and get ready to raise your child. Start saving now and be happy. Practice not being stressed and worried. See you doctor! Children need to be raised in a loving and caring environment. I hope that you can raise your child. This is NOTHING to joke about! If you are unable to care and raise your child seek foster care. Stop worrying and focus on providing for your child. Get a job, a home and Heath Benefits! AND SEE A DOCTOR!
