Im a 12 year old girl and I want to play both but I don't know which one I should get for christmas.

Guitar is cool but you really gotta have a feel for it and if you don't, it's more difficult. But everyone looks cool playing drums. I would get those.

I've always wanted to learn to play drums (already have a guitar). But one thing to remember is that a guitar is a lot more portable. If you get to the point where you want to perform for an audience, drums are kind of a pain to tear down and take along. Also, they take up more room in your home. Do you have somewhere you can set them up and leave them there? (And do you think your parents would be okay with it?) Oh... and with a guitar, you can practice almost silently if you get an electric one ... just put on headphones! With drums, you obviously cannot do that. Some considerations for you.... I'm not against drums at ALL, just thinking realistically.

When I was about your age I wanted a drum kit too, my parents were'nt too keen on the idea, so I got a guitar instead, I still haven't got round to learning it, but it sure looks cool hanging on the wall! Seriously though, if you want to learn guitar there are so many tools out there to help you learn, such as a item called 'Guitar Port' which plugs into your PC and really helps you to learn. I bought one for my fiance and it really has helped him learn. Take inspiration from all the great guitarists out there such as my personal fave Mick Mars from Motley Crue, a fantastic guitarist who is seriously underrated. Good Luck!

I play guitar, so i'd say guitar. But drums are cool too. If youre serious about learning go for guitar.

Drums bc they are way cooler and i think it's better that the guitar

Theyre both very COOL! but if only 1, choose whixh one you like best! I would choose an electric guitar first!!

it depends on what u think u can play best
drums requires u to have really good rythm and guitar more finger movement
i'd say guitar though

If you can play drums, do it! I'm terribly uncoordinated and can't (I play guitar), and I admire drummers so much.

for the sake of your parent's sanity, play the guitar. more options/less maintenance.

Get drums.
They are a bit easier to learn I think.
plus that'll tone your arms up.
