in all 14 years we have been divorced , the cow has never forwarded even 1 medical bill to me for reimbursement, and now that the end of the child support is within sight , she all of a sudden decides to bring up every med. bill that has accumulated since our divorce 14 years ago. The divorce states that she has 10 days in which to get the statements or proof of payment to me and I am then allowed 10 days to repay her, so what are her chances of getting reimbursement for bills from years past?

If she didn't follow the instructions in the divorce decree, then how can you be expected to?

I don't think she'll be awarded the money.

If the divorce states that she has a 10 day window, to get the bills to you for payment. You may have some little give room in the fact that she never presented you with those medical boils. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND YOU HAD BEEN ORDER BY THE COURT 2 PAY YOU CHILDS OR CHILDREN'S MEDICAL, WHY THEN DIDN'T GO BACK TO COURT , AND LET THEM KNOW SHE WAS INVIGILATION OF THE ORDER. 1. you did know that you had children and had been order to pay those bills, right?????? 2 so why then now ? You say for the money your probably, but you must pay 14 years worth, maybe you should sit down and try in work something out. You Both did not follow the court order. Try that it may give you some leverage since she waited so long. 3. check out the stanture of limitions. pay for your children you own them that and the taxpayers. shame on you""""""""""

If the divorce states that then she shouldn't get anything. You should have proof that she didn't give you anything just to cover yourself. Why didn't you ask her in all the years if there were medical bills? In fourteen years you should have known that the kids had been sick. Not trying to be mean by saying that, it is just a question that the judge might ask. Good luck and God bless

Slim to none. In order to prove her case she would have to be able to provide documentation in the form of a certified letter or better to prove that the bills had been properly delivered to you within the alloted time set forth in the divorce decree.

I ought to think of you would be waiting to take him to court. You sent the charges by ability of qualified mail and you will have a receipt and doubtless notification from postal service that he has not picked up the mail interior a undeniable quantity of time. Him refusing to %. up the qualified mail is negligence on his area, he can not help you comprehend that he hasn't won something from you. in case you choose to be greater particular that the regulation is on your area, that's recommended to verify in case you will get a technique server or somebody like that to objective and hand grant the charges to him. If he refused to take those besides then this is only greater factors on your want whilst it comes time to court circumstances. If this criminal criminal duty of his comes out of your custody hearings then perhaps you are able to forward the charges on your lawyer and then his.

Depends on what the original Decree stated and that laws in the state that your divorce was finalized in.

It's possible, but with the ten day clause, she may have cooked her own goose.
