I want to be able to use the internet with a portable device (Nintendo DS, to be specific) but don't really want to buy a router just for that. My computer has a wireless card in it, I was wondering if it was possible (through special software or even Windows, I have XP) to create an access point with it. I'm not even sure if it's possible, but thanks in advance for any info!

Oh, and *please* don't say, "Just buy a router, you can get them for $20."

Thanks!

well that would only work if u set the connection to ad-hoc rather than infrastructure which routers/access points use
this will create a sort of 1 to 1 connection rather than a router which is 1 to 254
