The Braile is obviously for the blind people. Some ATMS also have a talking feature that lets you here the choices on the screen. Also the bank will send a braile version of the customers screens so they know what appears on each screen and then they can make their choices

For the blind and people with poor sight. There are different degrees of blind. Some can see well enough to drive, but no amount of assistance can help them see small writing on the tiny little keys.

Because if someone who is sight-impaired needs to do something with the ATM machine, they can use the Braille to feel the numbers and do what they need to do to get their money.

They are apparently for the visually impaired and/or legally blind that can also drive a car, because they are at the drive thru ATM's also.

It's so blind people who know Braille can operate the machine.
And for all the people asking about the drive-thru ones.....if they're already making the machines with Braille, why make special machines without just for drive-thru ATM'S?

Blind people need to use ATMs just like anybody else. They should make it mandatory to have it in elevators too.

I have wondered myself- have you noticed that even the drive through ones do..... I guess in case a blind person needs to DRIVE through the ATM. Makes perfect sense.... ;)
