One scene that always gives me goosebumps is from the original 1979 "When a Stranger Calls". It's when Jill receives the call from the sargent telling her the source of the menacing phone calls she's been getting. It's a classic scene.

there is no other chilling scenes than this italian gory movie "city of the living dead 1980 by Lucio Fulci".
There is a young man that gets a drill through his head and I mean right through his head you can see the drill as he opens his mouth.
I asked Why did the director do this scene? The special make up effect is really really good, but anyone can explain me ??

The Hills Have Eyes, at the end, when they think they're safe and someone is watching them through binoculars, its not the most chilling scene ever, but i just watched the movie on Saturday, so I'm still remembering it....that was pretty creepy

Two from Schindler's List: the camp commander sniping at the inmates randomly, and the little girl's coat in red on the pile of bodies...
The scene from Saving Private Ryan, where that guy get's killed close combat with a knife with the German on top of him...
Horror doesn't do it for me but these do...

The only thing that ever scared me in a film was the part in Jaws where he goes under the boat to pull out the sharks tooth and that guys head falls out the hole. That used to **** me up as a kid, but now when I watch it, it makes me laugh lol.

The final scene from the Vanishing, it was a dutch psychological thriller and it truly is shocking and chills you to the bone. Hollywood remade it with of course a different ending. I think it starred Keifer Sutherland. It was pants.

i do get surprised sometimes in horror movies, but there is a film that could not see a scene to the end because the actors did a fantastic job, in fact i do not know how they manage to do that as it was impressive for all i could see.
The film is a french film called IRREVERSIBLE with Monica Bellucci. (warning: it's a rape scene)
That is a film not to the faint hearted.
Apart from that, the film S7ven has a scene where we think the guy is dead in bed and the police officer touches him and i had to change underware!!!

The final sequence in "The Usual Suspects". No movie can match that scene in terms of intensity.
Also, the final scene of "Silence of the Lambs" packs a real punch.
