Did you ever break up with someone and then return the clothing you "borrowed" from them without washing it, so that it would still smell like you?

No. I was kind of procrastinator when it came to breaking up, so I would return anything that I actually intended to return before breaking up.

No. I usually trash it...hoping they miss it as much as they miss me. At least. Anyone who knows me, knows anything near me, including the ex's house, still smells of 'me'. I use Amarige, and it lingers. A long time. It's 'footprint' as the perfume people call it, is about a size 18.
