This year 1st in class was meant to be decided by our results. I worked really hard this year and am upset.

Can any one please give me words of advice?

I got 100% on every test. I think it is because I am quiet and she talks loud all the time. But I know I did the best I could do so thats enough!

Don't worry this means that that girl had to be a teachers pet to be 1 in class(thats lame), so she doesn't work as hard as u. Keep your chin up and be positive, just keep working hard ans earning good grades and at the end of the year you'll see u will be 1 in class. Good Luck!

How was your work all semester. I mean did you get good grades on all your tests, homework assignments, did you participate in class discussions. That maybe why she got first. I was in a class and everyone thought that I would be first, but when it came down to all the fine print, the other person beat me out by 2 points. If the both of you had the same grades all the way through, ask to speak to the teacher, if you don't feel you were taking serious, go to the supervisor.

Most teachers are required to treat each student equally when it comes to grading papers. If you feel that the quality of work you put out is truly better than a cohort of yours, you should bring it to the attention to a vice principal or academic superior. My college professors were required to keep unnamed copies of graded documents from the best, worst, and median students to justify if someone felt they were being graded unfairly. Your school may have the same system and if not, you should put in a suggestion.

well you know how the teacher likes the teachers pet. She thinks that that person should get the best grades in the class because she is really helpful. Trust me I was there.

That suuucks I know how that feels. However, being second in the class isn't much different...plus in the long run it really doesn't matter. Look at the bright side, you are the second best student in the class! I have a C- in one of my classes, so believe me, I would looove to have you're problem.

I guess you could ask the teacher, but be careful not to sound rude.

Umm, I think it's kinda hopeless if she already has a fav. You might be able to get somewhere with the principal. IDK. Sorry.
