I see alot of questions that could simply be solved by going to Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, etc.. Are people just lazy and not willing to look crap up themselves? Or are they just too dumb to realize?

You know, at first I thought this was the case because some of the questions required a simple resource checking. I thought, heck, if I can find the answer, so can they. But then I realized some of the questions - in fact, quite a few, people aren't going to get a resource. If you read some of the answers, you will find that they come from experience of the person giving the answer. You won't find that on Google, Yahoo or Wikipedia. I think for the ones that do ask the kind where you can find it in those places do so because they are looking for more than what they themselves found. Plus, have you ever done research online? There are more pages to go to than I care to think about sometimes - next, next, next...its never ending...so, if someone can provide a few links that answer the question, it would certainly save time, right? :p

Ive thought the same things before. then i thought that maybe instead of just being lazy they need some companionship. maybe these people can look up more than half of the questions that Ive answered but just wants or needs that companionship that is lacking in their daily lives.
I'm a mother of 3 and my days consist of cooking, cleaning, paying bills, washing cloths, gro shopping, budgeting the monthly expenses, keeping track of diabetic supplies and charts and paperwork, making sure all is right for my family. my husband thinks it flirting if i talk to anyone other than my family. so, this is a way for me to reach out to the world and feel like I'm helping people and not doing the same ole thing day after day.

I don't think it's making people lazy... Some might not realize how easy it is to google things. Others can't find it if they google. And maybe others really want human correspondance and someone else's two cents on a subject. You can't get that by googling for it. :-)

Maybe they like to make up answers based on their opinion.
