'Halloween' set the standards for 'boogeyman' in today's slasher movies.
'Beauty And The Beast' set new standards in animation that eventually brought about the CGI revolution; although it wasn't.
'Star Wars' started the Special Effects Revolution that has continued to push Hollywood special effects to the edge; as witnessed in everything from 'E.T. The ExtraTerrestrial' to 'The Matrix' to 'XMen 3'.
Jim Carrey was the first actor paid 20 million a movie, which is now what the Super A-list makes.
'Saturday Night Fever' showed the music AND movie industry that they could both make ALOT of money working together and having Original Movie Soundtracks. They are still the norm today.
