The War of the Wall, by Toni Cade Bambara, was first published as "The Image" in Essence Magazine in the early 1980's. It is contained in a collection of Ms. Bambara's stories in the book "Deep Sightings and Rescue Missions," published in 1999 with an introduction by Toni Morrison. It is out of print, but easily available online from Amazon.Com.
Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is a story in "The Jungle Book," by Rudyard Kipling, and has been published as an illustrated story book at least once (I have a copy, the title is "Rikki Tikki Tavi" by Rudyard Kipling). Both are available on Amazon.Com and also at any bookstore.
Kipling's works are in the public domain, so "The Jungle Book" is also available at Project Gutenberg online, and may be downloaded for free.
They are also available at most public libraries.
Good luck.
