It doesn't. Anyone who'd change their sexual orientation based on media messages wasn't too firm in their preferences to begin with.

Put it this way: Can you imagine any TV show, movie, play, etc. that would make you say "hmm, I think I'll change sexual orientations!" I sure can't.

This is a male-dominated society. On any given media, you will see half-naked women. The only time you see half-naked men, the media is geared for gay guys.
