I hold the door for people even when they are 10 feet away; I live in an apartment building and I always see people behind me so I open the door for them. Sometimes it's usually the children that holds the door for me but most of the time I hold the door for people.

As a woman living in the South, I get the door held open for me a lot but by the same token, I hold the door open for basically any one who is behind me, even if I have to wait a minute for them to get there, especially the elderly and anyone who clearly has their hands full. People who don't hold open the door for others were simply not raised right!

I hold the dooor for ppl all the time. I find that some ppl are really rude and walk straight through the door and don't even take time to care about anyone else.
The only person I make open the door for me is my brother because he needs to learn to be a gentleman. He'll appreciate it one of these days hehehe.

A little bit of both. Sometimes Dragon will hold the door (like for older folks, or someone who is right behind her),sometimes other people will hold the door for Dragon (like sweet boys who are being chivalrous).

I hold the door for women and the elderly, or for someone carrying a heavy load. I'm a man, so nobody holds the door for me, but that's okay. I can get it myself.

I constanly hold the door for people. Like you, even if they are far away. I like to make them happy! :)

yes but only if they are close I am not going to wait until they get there if they are 10 feet away I have places to be and people to do

I'm old, and can't walk well...usually they slam it in my face. If I'm already there and the person is coming quickly, I'll hold it. Otherwise....not. My legs are so bad I can't stand for 10 minutes while someone strolls in! ;-D
