I can give you hints on how to go about doing it yourself.
Basically there should be thin pipes that carry the refrigerant gas in to the fridge and absorb the heat.
Outside the fridge, they go into a round compressor that compresses the gas and makes it go through a set of thin pipes where the gas is hot and loses the heat finally it goes through a very small aperture where it gets very cold just before entering the fridge.
The compressor is powered by an electrical motor and also connected to a thermostat.
