Go to the doctor. Get a mammagram, biopsy - Even if it is a cyst, it should be investigated further just to be sure. I think you will feel better if you know for sure.

I hope that the original diagnosis is correct and that it goes away. Best wishes !

Sounds like an abcessed cyst. Although, it wouldn't hurt to see a doctor. Or more likely a boil, they will prescribe and antibiotic, to clear the infection. Were exactly it the location, perhaps it is right by the seam of your bra. Which in that case could be many things, A) are you wearing a bra with and Underwire and have you ever been checked for allergies to metals. B) Could be an ingrown hair. C) Fatty tissue aka Cyst. If it is this they should clean it and then prescribe you and oral antibiotic. In the mean time, place a warm wash cloth over the area and you and an anti-bacterial soap. To prevent irratation place a piece of gauze over it. I wouldn't put and oitment on it one it is an open wound and no topical ointment will really take care of the problem. Particularly if you are really worried go get a mamagram. However, having had plenty of cyst's one under my arm they do end up like this over time. Mine went like this for 4 years before it actually came to the surface. Just make sure to keep the area clean and free of anything. Good luck!

And neither of them have done ANYTHING about it? No antibiotics? They haven't drained it or removed it? That is really strange. They need to, at least, lance it and get the infection out and then put you on antibiotics before the infection spreads into your blood stream. If neither think that's necessary.....well, that's just nuts. Find another doctor--like a doctor who specializes in breasts. There are breast surgeons out there. I'm sure it IS a cyst (not cancer)....but leaving it infected and saying not to worry about it? NO.

No not continually. that's why that's a sturdy thought to get breast examination each and every 365 days by making use of a expert. And checking your breast your self in many circumstances. you need to use your hand to sense for any concern strange with your breast and don't be afraid to point something on your physician. The early the detection, the extra valuable the top-effect.

Call your doctor back and if they still won't do anything find another one, don't mess around. Could be nothing but there is a new form of cancer (not to scare you) and my cousin died from it along with other women, looks like a sore, doctors don't check it properly. For your piece of mind find someone to take care of it, if it is a cyst they should still do something.

Go to a&e to get it checked it can be a sign of many things and unfortunately most GP's ignore a lot of things when they should send you for tests.

Please get it checked out to put your mind at rest, it is most likely a cyst but get it checked.

best of luck

cysts do sometimes get infected
it may need to be aspirated + antibiotic
cysts are not a reason for concern when they r not infected
if they get recurrent infection, then u may have to get it removed
