No, the stuffing is placed in the cavity that is left once all the intestines and organs are taken out. Essentially, once the turkey is gutted and prepared, there is no "butt" left. (I know you were just trying to be "funny," but I decided to give you a serious answer, anyway.)

sort of... but it sounds much nicer to say you put the stuffing into the cavity (where it's stomach, etc. were when it was alive).
Most cookbooks recommend cooking the stuffing separately in a cassarole dish as it slows down the cooking of the turkey. If people don't cook it long enough, there can be harmful bacteria that grows during the slow heat of the oven.

It isn't necessarily the 'butt' of the turkey, but people often put stuffing up into the breast cavity by carving a large entrance from front to back at the lower extremeties of the turkey.

No you add the stuffing before the bird is cooked so that the stuffing can get the juices from the turkey, they cook together. my fave. on T-DAy

Actually, the butt is missing. The stuffing is shoved in the main body cavity and in the neck then cooked.

Not at my house. The broth (grease), from the cooking of the turkey, is mixed in with other ingredients and is called "dressing" The odd pieces such as liver, gizzard and such are chipped up and "Giblet Gravy" is made to go on the dressing.
Good luck. Pops

No, it cooks while you cook the Turkey. Just make sure before serving that the suffing has come to about 180 degrees F to make sure it's totally cooked

I've always seen it cooked and served seperately, never inside the turkey.

Not necessarily. Sometimes it's put in a casserole dish and cooked on the side.
